Do you know what degree of Westwood Station and Legacy Place will include LEED-certified buildings? Green buildings are hip and new projects that lack foresight to be compliant will receive more backlash than necessary.

Also, you mention transit-oriented development and I look at Denver's 16th Street Mall as a great example of a pedestrian-only version of Newbury Street that includes a free people-mover shuttle and something I rarely see in New England.

With respect to new media, yeah, I echo you!

Westwood is for sure an interesting experiment. I am all in favor of TOD and think we need much more of it. It will be interesting to see if suburbanites embrace urban living in the suburbs, or if it will attract people who would live in a "real" urban environment. In any case, I hope it is successful. If we're going to keep building in the suburbs, we should try to do so in a way that clusters development instead of spreading it out ad infinitum.
