Also, while everyone believes Amsterdam is the capital of bicycling in Europe and the world, Copenhagen boasts some of the most bikes on the road per capita; one-third of all commuters bike to work in the Danish capital, according to this BBC story. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8224141.stm&lt;br /&gt;
Anyone who excuses Boston&#039;s relative unfriendliness toward bicyclists on the city&#039;s age or congestion should consider both Amsterdam and Copenhagen, which are much older and concentrated than Beantown.</description>
