I really appreciate the points you&#039;re bringing out in this post. &lt;br /&gt;
I think making public a person&#039;s number of followers &amp; following creates an uneasy competition on twitter. After all, how cool would it be to say you have as many followers as your favorite celeb? :)&lt;br /&gt;
Bragging aside, it&#039;s important for us to remember that adding value is not a one-way process. How many people can we really help, get to know &amp; befriend through tweets we bark @ our audience periodically? The true quality is in interaction with &amp; appreciation of 100, 1000 or 10,000 followers.</description>

At about 400, I realized that I wasn&#039;t going to &quot;hear&quot; everything, or even close to everything &quot;said&quot; to me by the people I was following.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So when I see that someone has thousands of followers, I realize they are not likely to hear much of what I say. They are more interested in being heard.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I&#039;m trying to walk a fine line between having a solid number of followers and still being able to interact with people, not just get them to listen to me. Hm, it takes some work!&lt;br /&gt;
